Key Lime Pie Bars

Easy and tasty!


Ingredients

  • 3 sleeves of honey graham crackers (crust)

  • 1 stick of butter (crust)

  • 2 tsp sugar (crust)

  • 3 cans sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 cup of key lime juice

  • 3 tbsp key lime zest (1 tbsp for topping)

  • 1 stick of cream cheese

  • 2 egg yolks

  • 3 tsp vanilla (1 tsp for topping)

  • 3/4 carton Whipping cream (topping)

  • 1/4 cup Powdered sugar (topping)


Cooking instructions

  • CRUST: Put graham crackers in a food processor until fine, place in a 9 x12 pan then add melted butter and sugar. Stir well then pat down into crust. Cook 10 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Take out and cool.

  • FILLING: Mix 3 cans of sweetened condensed milk, sour cream, lime juice, softened cream cheese, egg yolks, 2 tbsp of zest and 1 tsp vanilla. Stir well and add on top of crust. Put in 325 degree oven for 20 minutes. Take out and cool.

  • TOPPING: Mix 3/4 of the full whipping cream carton until firm peaks form, add powdered sugar and 1 tsp of vanilla.

  • Once the filling is cool, spread topping on top of the bars then add the remainder of your lime zest for decoration.
